How to Get Easy Achievements in Any Game
Xbox Game Pass: The easiest and fastest completions (August 2022)
Are you an Xbox Game Pass subscriber and looking to add to your Gamerscore total quickly? Our list of quick game completions from Xbox Game Pass can all be completed just a few short hours.
Xbox Game Pass is the gift that keeps on giving. It provides excellent value for subscribers, and games available in the service cover nearly every genre and niche, so you're bound to find something you'll enjoy. For achievement hunters, Xbox Game Pass is an even better deal considering there are so many fantastic games that can be completed with relative ease. To help you decide which to tackle first, we've pulled the quickest game completions listed in the service that can all be completed in a relatively short amount of time.0-0.5 hours
Townscaper
Townscaper is one of your first stops if you're an Xbox Game Pass subscriber that's on the hunt for some easy Gamerscore. The sandbox game's ten achievements are all pretty easy to unlock and have simple requirements, though you may need one of our guides to help with Propelled, Who goes there?, and Architect. It should take you around 30 minutes to unlock them all and bag yourself a cool 1,000 Gamerscore.
0.5-1 hour
My Friend Peppa Pig
My Friend Peppa Pig is an extremely easy completion, providing you can put up with Peppa's unskippable dialogue and cutting voice. This adventure game has 11 achievements that will take you about 45 minutes to unlock. We recommend using some of the guides found here for the most optimal path through the game, otherwise, you could get lost speaking nonsense to Madame Gazelle or Grandpa Pig (yes, I've played this game). The things we do for easy Gamerscore...
1-2 hours
Escape Academy
To complete Escape Academy in under two hours, you're going to need to follow our Escape Academy walkthrough (written by ManicMetalhead) and have either a pal so you can play the game in co-op or own a second controller. Our walkthrough gives you solutions for each puzzle and details how to unlock all 27 of Escape Academy's achievements, so if you do decide to play Escape Academy using it, just be aware that all the solutions and fun stuff will be spoiled.
A Memoir Blue
A Memoir Blue is a relaxing point-and-click adventure game that has an equally relaxing achievement list. The "interactive poem" has 15 achievements that can all be unlocked in under two hours, though we do recommend clicking through and reading our A Memoir Blue walkthrough (written by DoomScott) as all but two of the game's achievements have been flagged as missable. Thankfully, if you do miss one, A Memoir Blue does have a chapter selected, so you can mop up any missing achievements after you've played through the game.
Deeeer Simulator: Your Average Everyday Deer Game
All you achievement hunters will surely be fawning over this one! Deeeer Simulator: Your Average Everyday Deer Game's 17 achievements can be unlocked in under two hours, perhaps quicker if you use a guide. The achievements don't ask too much from you, but their requirements can be a little vague. We recommend checking out some of the handy guides other TA members have written if you find yourself stuck on a particular achievement.
Telling Lies
I'm not telling lies when I say you can earn 1,000G in Telling Lies in under two hours. Visual novels tend to be pretty easy and quick completion, thanks to their simplicity, and Telling Lies is no different. Six out of the game's 15 achievements can be unlocked simply by playing through its story. The rest are secret achievements that have some pretty cryptic unlock descriptions, but thanks to the Telling Lies walkthrough (written by PangoBara) detailing exactly what you need to do to pop them, they're a breeze.
Gorogoa
Gorogoa is a pretty quick and easy completion, though you will need to use some guides to complete it in under the two-hour estimate we have on TA. The puzzle game has 11 achievements, with six of those unlocked just by playing through the story. The 'But Why?' and 'Dexterity' achievements are the two trickiest, with the former asking you to complete the game in under 30 minutes and the latter requiring you to beat it in under 500 moves. For help with these two and all of Gorogoa's achievements, you should definitely check out our Gorogoa walkthrough, which was written by TA user JohnnyInterfnk.
Rubber Bandits
First things first, to complete Rubber Bandits in under two hours, you're going to need multiple controllers or some online pals to boost this one with. If you don't have either of those, you'll still be able to unlock all 19 of the party game's achievements by playing with randoms online (it will take you longer than our completion estimate suggests, though!). To complete this one, make sure you follow Risimez's excellent Rubber Bandits walkthrough, which lays out exactly what you need to do to earn that 1,000 Gamerscore.
For those that don't have the extra controllers or anyone to boost this with, it will probably be worth creating (or joining if there's one available) a Rubber Bandits Gaming Session. Here you'll be able to work through the achievement list with other members from TA and get that completion!
Doom 64
Next up, we're jumping into Doom 64. The game has ten achievements worth 1,000 Gamerscore, and thanks to Doom 64's password screen, all of its achievements can be unlocked in less than two hours by following our Doom 64 walkthrough. The walkthrough, written by PangoBara, includes what passwords you need to use to warp through levels and what you need to do to unlock missable achievements such as Persistence is the Key and RVNH3CT1CD3M0???.
Unpacking
Unpacking, the game where you simply unpack things, was always going to have an easy achievement list. However, an accessibility option that allows you to place items anywhere you want in a room makes the game's 25 achievements even easier to unlock. For more on how to complete Unpacking in under two hours, check out our Unpacking walkthrough (written by Rossco7530). Just bear in mind that if you do use the accessibility option, you might not unpack the rather sweet and charming narrative that slowly unfolds as you play.
The Procession to Calvary
Aside from being absolutely hilarious, The Procession to Calvary is also a quick and easy completion. To bag yourself a sweet 1,000G from this point-and-click adventure game, you'll need to set aside roughly two hours of your time. The achievements are all pretty straightforward to unlock, though each one has been flagged as missable, so it will be worth following DoomScott's excellent The Procession to Calvary walkthrough, just so you don't miss any on your playthrough.
Donut County
The charming physics-based puzzler Donut County is an extremely straightforward completion that should take you between one and two hours to unlock all of its 20 achievements. Although the achievements are all easy to pop, you might need a helping hand here or there. For that, we recommend you check out our Donut County walkthrough, written by Fluke939, or some of the various individual achievement guides we have on TA. Not only is this an easy and quick completion, but it's also a fun one that you'll likely enjoy.
Gang Beasts
According to estimates here on TA, Gang Beasts will take you between one and two hours to unlock all 19 of its achievements, and while it is possible to complete the game in or around that time frame, it will be much easier and quicker if you have a second controller or a co-op buddy. Both the controls and the achievements are a little janky in Gang Beasts, so you might find yourself repeating a few of the achievement requirements over and over again until they pop — perseverance is key! We recommend checking out TheOnlyMatto's superb Gang Beasts walkthrough, which has solutions for each achievement and a bunch of other tips and tricks to help you get the 1,000G.
2-3 hours
Turnip Boy Commits Tax Evasion
Turnip Boy Commits Tax Evasion is not just a quick completion, it's also a pretty fun and humorous action-adventure game. Turnip Boy Commits Tax Evasion has 37 achievements that can all be unlocked easily thanks to a couple of accessibility options that suck the difficulty out of the game. With these options turned on, you can blast through the game, popping all of its achievements in under three hours. For more, give PangoBara's well-received Turnip Boy Commits Tax Evasion walkthrough a look over.
Space Warlord Organ Trading Simulator
You've got the stomach for more easy Gamerscore right? I can assure you; your eyes are not bigger than your belly, so pick up that Xbox controller and load up Space Warlord Organ Trading Simulator. While this management sim looks pretty complex, it's actually fairly simple, and so too is its achievement list. Nearly all of the game's achievements are cumulative, and to help you unlock these, we really recommend that you play the game with C64 Mat's excellent Space Warlord Organ Trading Simulator walkthrough. This comprehensive walkthrough details how to play the game and what you'll need to do to unlock each achievement.
Twelve Minutes
With a guide, unlocking all 12 of Twelve Minutes' achievements is a cakewalk, and luckily for you, we have a fantastic walkthrough here on TA. The Twelve Minutes walkthrough (written by DynamicWolfNLD) explains what you need to do to pop all of the game's achievements (half of which are missable) in just a few hours. Of course, playing with a walkthrough for a game like this can spoil the fun somewhat, so it might be worth playing through Twelve Minutes first unaided and coming back a second time for the achievements.
What Remains of Edith Finch
What Remains of Edith Finch is considered one of the best "walking simulators" in the genre. Thankfully, it's also got a straightforward achievement list that can be completed in under three hours. The game's ten achievements aren't taxing, but they can be missed. Definitely check out NoHeroes94's well-liked What Remains of Edith Finch walkthrough on how to unlock each achievement.
Day of the Tentacle Remastered
Day of the Tentacle Remastered is one of Double Fine's greatest titles. The simple point-and-click adventure game has 58 achievements worth a total of 1,000 Gamerscore and takes between two and three hours to complete. The achievement list is made up of achievements that can be unlocked by playing through the game's story and a good number of missable-flagged achievements. To get the full 1,000G, we recommended following Chad and Jessie's superb Day of the Tentacle walkthrough that details exactly what you need to do to pop those achievements.
Full Throttle Remastered
Sticking with Double Fine, we have Full Throttle Remastered — another easy completion that should take between two and three hours to unlock all 40 of the game's achievements. Full Throttle Remastered is similar to Day of the Tentacle Remastered, in which most of the achievements are story related or missable. For a helping hand with those, make sure you play along with our Full Throttle Remastered walkthrough (written by DarkR Phantom).
3-4 hours
Race with Ryan
The bulk of Race with Ryan's 3-4 hour completion estimate is down to the 'Oh my darling...' achievement, which requires you to race for a total of three hours in any mode. The other 22 achievements the racing game has are all pretty straightforward, though you will need a second controller to unlock the 'I've got the power' split-screen achievement. If you need a guiding hand, TheOnlyMatto has an excellent Race with Ryan walkthrough that's filled with a bunch of tips and tricks to unlock each achievement.
PAW Patrol: Mighty Pups Save Adventure Bay
Sticking with games that are designed for children, next up is PAW Patrol: Mighty Pups Save Adventure Bay, which has 30 achievements that can be unlocked in under four hours. Most of the achievements don't require a lot in the way of effort, though there are numerous collectables you will need to find for the full 1,000G. The Pup Treat Master achievement asks you to collect all the Pup Treats scattered throughout the game, of which there are a whopping 7,250.
The Artful Escape
If you're up for an intergalactic psychedelic journey that's filled with sick guitar licks that will melt your face off, as well as an easy 1,000G, The Artful Escape has got you covered. The adventure game has 12 achievements that can all be unlocked in under four hours. All of them are ridiculously simple, with half being awarded just by playing through the story. Though you probably won't need it, we do have a The Artful Escape walkthrough (written by ComicKaze23), that will guide you through the process of unlocking each and every achievement as you play.
Contrast
According to estimates, it'll take you under four hours to complete the Contrast achievement list. The platformer has 22 achievements, nine of which are unlocked by playing through the game's compelling story. The bulk of the remaining achievements are for finding collectables, which are considerably easier to find if you follow our Contrast walkthrough. The walkthrough also suggests you can complete this in under two hours, so you might be able to speed through Contrast if you're not too fussed about taking in much of what the game has to offer.
Genesis Noir
Genesis Noir's achievement list may look a little daunting considering all of its achievements are marked 'Secret' with no descriptions of what to do. However, all achievements are progression-based bar two, which require you to unlock two different endings. You will unlock 13/14 achievements in a single playthrough, and the final one can be popped easily, thanks to Genesis Noir's scene select option. If you want to blast through this game with ease, we recommend playing through Genesis Noir with ThePurplePixie's well-received Genesis Noir walkthrough. Genesis Noir also now has a free title update that takes less than 30 minutes to complete and adds another 210 Gamerscore.
The Pedestrian
The Pedestrian is a fantastic puzzle platformer that has ten pretty pedestrian achievements. The list will take you around four hours to complete with all but one missable achievement coming from the game's main storyline. If you're looking to blitz through this one, be sure to check out some of the various video guides we have attached to each achievement.
3-5 hours
The Walking Dead: Michonne
All Telltale games are notoriously easy completions, but most take upwards of eight hours to complete. The Walking Dead: Michonne is an exception to that rule thanks to the game having just three episodes. In total, it will take you about five hours to unlock all of the achievements from each episode, providing you're not interested in exploring what the game has to offer fully. All achievements are popped by playing through the story, so you can't really go wrong with this one for an easy 1,000G. If you need it, we have a The Walking Dead: Michonne walkthrough, written by GoW Butters, that details the quickest way to blitz through the game's achievements.
4-5 hours
Firewatch
Next, we'll be taking a walk through the calm and serene wilderness of Firewatch. The first-person narrative adventure has just ten achievements, all with a chunky 100 Gamerscore each, that can be unlocked in under five hours. Half of them are unlocked by playing through the game's story, and the rest have miscellaneous requirements. For an easy way to unlock them all, follow hypobonix's Firewatch walkthrough, which is filled with handy tips and explains exactly what you need to do to grab that 1,000G.
5-6 hours
Lost Words: Beyond the Page
If you find yourself with around six hours to spare, you should definitely boot up Lost Words: Beyond the Page for its easy Gamerscore. This platformer has 21 achievements, and most are unlocked by playing through the game's story and picking up certain collectables. Finding all of the various collectables does appear to be a bit of a pain, but thankfully, our Lost Words: Beyond the Page walkthrough, written by DynamicWolfNLD, details exactly where you'll find each one. If you do miss one, don't fret, as the game also features a chapter select.
6-8 hours
Kraken Academy!!
Don't be fooled by some of the relatively high-ratio achievements in Kraken Academy!! — it's actually a somewhat easy completion providing you follow a guide. All 48 Kraken Academy!! achievements can be unlocked in under eight hours. The game's list is made up of a variety of miscellaneous, story, cumulative, and missable achievements, and to pop them all, we really recommend checking out the Kraken Academy!! walkthrough, written by WeepingBomber. The collectables in this game are a bit of a nightmare if you miss one, so make sure you play while following the walkthrough for an easy 1,000G.
Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice
Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice is not only a fantastic game; it's also a pretty easy completion. All but one of Hellblade's 14 achievements are unlocked by completing the story, but thanks to a recent update that added a new chapter select feature, the Stories of the North achievement is a breeze. If you need it, we have an excellent Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice walkthrough, written by TA user KylKo.
Flynn: Son of Crimson
The Flynn: Son of Crimson achievement list features several achievements with chunky TA Ratios attached, but don't let that number put you off — the platformer is a pretty straightforward completion. Estimates suggest it will take you between six and eight hours to unlock all 22 of the game's achievements. Most are pretty simple, especially with the various individual achievement guides we have available, though this game can be made even easier thanks to a no-player-damage cheat that can be turned on in the options menu.
The Gunk
The Gunk is a satisfying little action-adventure game that will take about six hours to unlock all 17 of its achievements. The list is pretty easy, but there are a couple of missable achievements that you'll need to be aware of. These two are a bit of a pain and require you to scan a lot of items and gather a lot of resources. Thankfully, there are some decent guides available for both of these achievements that should help.
